What is the correct shear blade clearance?

Clearance equals 5 to 15 percent of material thickness. For 3 mm mild steel, set 0.15 to 0.45 mm. Too little causes blade wear and burrs. Too much causes torn edges. Maxwell engineers recommend the exact clearance for your machine and material on request
